Lambic

Style Family Snapshot

A style of wheat beer that was originally produced in the Bruxelloise region of Belgium. It is brewed with spontaneous fermentation from wild yeast which results in a strongly acidic character. The base versions of this style are unblended lambic and gueuze. Others are made with various types of fruit, including cherry, peach, and currant.
