Beer and Food: French

French cuisine is rich and varied with strong regional styles, but there are some dishes that are typical at the national level. Notable components of this cuisine include breads, pastries, cheeses, and meats of all kinds served as stews and with rich sauces. Classic examples are Carbonade de boeuf, a hearty stew, and the famous fish stew bouillabaisse.

We suggest stronger flavored beers for pairing with French stews and braised meat dishes. To accompany their seafood you should consider a lighter but flavorful beer that compliments the delicate flavors of oysters, clams, mussels and other similar dishes.
