Beer and Food: Desserts

Of course when we use the words beer, food, and desserts together, our intent rises beyond potato chips or pretzels. Some categories of desserts are what we call creamy (such as a Tiramisu), fruity (such as a tart), or heavy (such as a cheesecake). Chocolate and coffee flavors are often in the form of a mousse or cake.

For the creamy and heavy dessert categories, we suggest pairing with maltier beers whose flavors and mouthfeel are complementary. For fruity desserts, we contend that a fruity beer from the Lambic or Belgian and French categories may do nicely. Beer and dessert should make the ending to a good meal twice as nice.
