Sham

This term is used for a beer glass that resembles a miniature flared pilsener glass.

Typical volumes range from 5 to 10 ounces (140 to 285 milliliters).

The moderate serving size makes it well suited to tasting a number of beers in one session.

The word “sham” is slang for false, and its use in referring to a beer serving of smallish size no doubt reflects disappointment by some.
