Secondary Fermentation

Nothing wrong with giving the yeast a second try. At this stage you complete the fermentation, especially for higher gravity beers; remove the beer from the sediment of primary fermentation; and give the beer’s flavors more time to blend and mature. Inevitably some volume is lost here but you’ll get over it - no one wants to floss after drinking their beer. By the way by planning ahead you can account for this lost volume in the first place. Hint. Oh, and that means more time to wait for the finished product.
