Bottle Cappers

What it does :

Bottle cappers, and bottle caps, help you and other homebrewers package your beer like professionals.

What it is:

A bottle capper is a device for clamping the crimped bottle cap edges down over a bottle lip to create a sealed bottle.

How it works:

Some practice may be required to get the technique right, as it can be tricky to operate a hand-held bottle capper at first. Take care that the cap is seated properly before clamping down, or you could break the bottle neck.

Preparation:

Bottle cappers are used during the cold side of brewing (e.g. fermentation, bottling, and packaging). The capper does not come in direct contact with the beer, so it should merely be kept clean and functional.
