Carboy Brushes

What it does :

Use this very large brush to scrub the inside of a glass carboy free of the remnants of fermentation.

What it is:

Carboy brushes are very large brushes made of nylon bristles and wire handles in the shape of a large letter L.

How it works:

After a few attempts to clean a carboy without one, you will understand its usefulness. Pre-soaking the carboy in hot water will help the cleaning task go even better.

Preparation:

Carboy brushes are used in support of cold side brewing steps (e.g. fermentation, bottling, and packaging). However, they do not come into direct contact with the beer. The brushes should be kept clean for use in scrubbing the carboy interior free of fermentation residue before the carboy is sanitized.
