Bottle Water Jets

What it does :

Homebrewers that bottle their beer make use of this device for cleaning the inside of bottles with a high pressure stream of water.

What it is:

Bottle water jets, or bottle cleaning jets, are sink faucet attachments that transform the flow of water into a focused, powerful stream.

How it works:

This useful device can be attached to a standard sink faucet. You then turn on the faucet, and the jet builds up water pressure. By holding a bottle neck over the jet, the water stream is released to blast into the interior of the bottle. It is especially effective in freeing-up residue at the bottle bottom.

Preparation:

Bottle water jets are used in support of cold side brewing steps (e.g. fermentation, bottling, and packaging). However, they do not come into direct contact with the beer. The water jet should be kept clean for use in rinsing the bottle interiors free of beer residue before they, the bottles, are sanitized.
