Eye-droppers

What it does :

A specific homebrewing use for eye-droppers is to add drops of iodine to a mash sample to determine the degree of starch conversion that has occurred.

What it is:

An eye-dropper is a device used to dispense fluid in small, controlled amounts.

How it works:

Eyedroppers should not used for dispensing beer for consumption. For that purpose see the entry for tap.

Preparation:

Eye-droppers are used during the hot side of brewing (e.g. wort preparation). However, they do not come into contact with the wort. So, simply keep them cleaned for use.
